#5718 ASSOCIATION OF MULTIPLE PLASMA BIOMARKER LEVELS WITH KIDNEY DISEASE ACTIVITY IN FABRY DISEASE

چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Fabry disease is a rare, systemic, genetic, metabolic lysosomal storage disease. Phenotypic heterogeneity prevents accurate predictions for the progression. We aimed to evaluate association of multiple plasma biomarkers with severity in Method In cross-sectional study, we examined 76 Fabry, 46 CKD patients 41 healthy controls. studied KIM-1, MCP-1, YKL-40, TNFR-1, TNFR-2, cystatin-C enzyme linked immunoassay. on renal replacement therapy were excluded from analysis. Results Demographic, clinical laboratory data study participants are shown Table 1. eGFR was calculated creatinine creatinine-cystatin C using CKD-EPI formula. While there no difference between controls regarding eGFR(cr); eGFR(cr-cys) significantly lower patients. Biomarker levels three groups 2. After performing age, sex BMI adjusted analysis, MCP-1 compared group (p:0.01). higher cardiac involvement than those without (p:0.039). KIM-1 comparing There significant biomarker kidney involvement. YKL-40 both control (p:0.025), probably reflecting effect ERT. Conclusion Cystatin seems be useful markers management Each associated different aspect might activity especially an early sign Cystatin-C should used better since it shows creatinine.

Fabry Disease Chronic Kidney Disease
Fabry disease (FD) arises from an X-linked defect in lipid storage, whereby deficient or absent lysosomal α-galactosidase A (α-gal A) activity leads to systemic deposition of glycosphingolipids, mainly globotriaosylceramide (known as Gb3 or GL3). Deposition mainly affects the cardiovascular, renal, and neurologic systems, but can occur in all organs, and despite specific enzyme replacement ther...
متن کاملThe Kidney in Fabry Disease
Fabry disease is a rare cause of end-stage renal disease. Renal pathology is notable for diffuse deposition of glycosphingolipid in the renal glomeruli, tubules, and vasculature. Classical patients with mutations in the a-galactosidase A gene accumulate globotriaosylceramide and become symptomatic in childhood with pain, gastrointestinal disturbances, angiokeratoma, and hypohidrosis. Classical ...
متن کاملPrediction of chronic kidney disease in Isfahan with extracting association rules using data mining techniques
Background: Millions of deaths occur around the world each year due to lack of access to appropriate treatment for chronic kidney disease patients. Given the importance and mortality rate of this disease, early and low-cost prediction is very important. The researchers intend to identify chronic kidney disease through the optimal combination of techniques used in different stages of data mining...

Background: The present study aimed to investigate the Nailfold Capillaroscopy (NC) features of the patients with dermatomyositis (DM) and its correlation with their disease activity indices, physical findings, and laboratory results. Methods: The present cross-sectional study was conducted on 27 DM patients above 16 years old who had referred to an(there are 3 clinics not one) outpatient rh...
متن کاملassociation between plasma beta-2 microglobulin level and cardiac performance in patients with chronic kidney disease
background beta-2 microglobulin (b2m) is considered as a surrogate marker for middle molecule uremic toxins and a key component in dialysis-related amyloidosis. however, few studies have evaluated role of b2m in patients with chronic kidney disease (ckd). objectives the purpose of this study was to evaluate the association of plasma b2m level with some metabolic and cardiac performance factors ...
